Gamez? Flix? Cheap? Yes.

It looks like gameznflix.com is having a rather amazing sale right now on their membership plans. Simply head over to this page (or go to the website, hit sign up, "I have a coupon", and enter code "emmys") and you get a pretty nice reduction on the plans.

Original Pricing
1 Out at a Time / $8.99 each month
2 Out at a Time / $12.99 each month
3 Out at a Time / $16.99 each month

With Coupon...
1 Out at a Time / $6.75 each month
2 Out at a Time / $9.75 each month
3 Out at a Time / $12.75 each month

3 @ a time for $12.75 a month? Very nice. 2 for $10 would be the obvious winner here though, since you can play one game while you wait for the other.
Although, reportedly there are a few downsides, such as NO DS game availability and sometimes lengthy wait periods on games and movies. But it IS an online rental service, so what can you do, I suppose. That was a question, but I just made it into a statement.

A Convenient Inconvenient Truth

#An Inconvenient truth, #Free DVD, #DVD, #Documentary

If you haven't seen "An Inconvenient Truth", or even saw it, liked it, didn't buy it and wish there was some other way your friends could see it... for free... well, I have a solution for you. Everyone else, leave. ;)
Right now you can sign up to receive a free copy of "An Inconvenient Truth" at sharthetruth.us/free. There is (apparently) no catch; just fill in the fields on the form and you are on your way to receiving one of the most compelling and well-made documentaries of 2006.

And if you or someone you know is a teacher, this link might interest them (free dvd for the teachers).

The List: 01/14/07 - 01/20/07

#Wii, #Nintendo, #Sale, #DVD, #The List, #Circular Ads, #Best Buy, #Target, #Circuit City, #Video Games, #Vol1 Issue2

Well, I'm a few days late on this, but mainly because I've been getting the site updated and ready to launch. I almost didn't post, but I figured I might as well try to be somewhat consistent.
You can find the original threads about these deals at the dvdtalk forums, which I'll link to in the 'read more' section. Speedy1961 does a great job on these so don't let the adventure end here; click the read more to check out stuff I didn't list.

This weeks deals are "weak deals". HAHA GET IT? Alright, so let's begin:

The List: Vol 1, Issue 2

Best Buy
Surprisingly little this week. Of note:
$3.99 & $9.99 DVD's - I didn't see anything really, but give the list a quick browse if you've got four to ten dollars burning a hole in your wallet.

Circuit City
A little better...

2 for $15 - Must be purchased on same receipt.
The Aviator
Full Metal Jacket
Blazing Saddles: 30th Anniversary Edition
The Constant Gardener (Buy this movie if you haven't already!)
Cinderella Man
Caddyshack
Unforgiven (Probably not the 10th Anniversary Edtion, but still a good movie. My advice: Wait for best buy to throw up some more 2 for $20 SE Movies; I think Unforgiven is usually on the list).
Gremlins: Special Edition
The Wedding Singer: Totally Awesome Edition
Catwoman <= SERIOUSLY? Not worth $7.50 :P

Wii Games $29.99 Each
Rayman: Raving Rabbids ($10 cheaper and I'd be all over this)
Red Steel
Tony Hawk's Project 8

Target
Nothing that I want!

And remember, as always, PLEASE read speedy1961's threads on dvdtalk about these deals; much more info!

Craig Vs. Wild!

#Hilarious, #Craig Vs Wild, #Videos, #Myspace

I've been waiting for our other admin, Knit_Vicious, to post this video, since she was the one to find it originally; but I don't think I can wait any longer, so I'm doing it for her. Video is after the break.

The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Glitches

#Canon Room

Okay, so this is old news to most, but my girlfriend recently experienced this glitch and wants everyone to know about it; what better way to do that than through my own personal article? Video is after the break.

The Wii is of the Devil... sticks

#Devil Sticks, #Nintendo, #Wii, #Hacking, #Video Games, #Wiimote, #YouTube

This video shows just how awesome the Wii remotes can be. Virtual Devil Sticks are exactly what was sorely lacking in modern video games. Video is after the break.

Phoenix Wright Sweeps the Nation

Phoenix Wright has been popping up everywhere lately. The starring character of the popular Nintendo DS video game (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney), the pointy-haired pointing-fingered attorney has captured our hearts and our souls alike. So it comes as no surprise that he's made his way to a variety of media besides video games: from websites to t-shirts, Phoenix has a loyal fanbase . For those that have never played the game, it is a text-based courtroom adventure game. It's one of those Nintendo "Playing is Believing" sort of things.
Anyway, thought I'd share some t-shirt-specific Attorneying with you all today. First, a tutorial to easily create your own Phoenix Wright (or anything else) homebrew t-shirt. Second, a flickr album of said shirt in action. And check out the Okami hoodie! Very Nice!

Wal-Mart.com $20 TV-on-DVD

#TV on DVD, #Wal-Mart, #The X-Files, #Arrested Development, #Sale, #The Outer Limits, #Angel, #Lost in Space, #Online Sale

wal-mart.jpg
A poster at my favorite forum, dvdtalk, has posted a thread about a Wal-Mart online sale of tv-on-dvd. There are quite a few different sets here at the obligatory $20 mark that most tv-on-dvd seems to hit and then stop at. Some items that caught my eye were The Outer Limits, The X-Files, Angel, Arrested Development, and Lost in Space. Even with DeepDiscounts 20% off sale you can't beat these prices.

Best Buy 10% off online orders

#DVD, #2 For $20, #Best Buy, #10% Off, #Sale

bestbuy.jpg
For the next two days (the 9th and 10th of January), select email address' receive an additional 10% off their order. Not sure if it's actually select ones, or if that's just what BB is saying. At any rate, I'm going to jump on The Jerk and Requiem for a Dream since they are part of the $5.99 dvd deal. With ship to store (+tax), my grand total is $11.56.

Some other titles that might be a good bet with this code are the 2 for $20 dvd's (see this weeks The List). A few notables include Reservoir Dogs 15th anniversary edition, Hard Candy, Brick, and United 93. This essentially means you are getting two of these movies at $10 a piece, which is a good price on these newer and better movies. Also don't forget to add two from the list or the price won't go down.

Well I've talked a friend of mine into blogging here, so we'll see if maybe we can get some REAL content added now.
So you can now blame two people for all the ills of society, me (d3vkit) and Knit_Vicious, our newest (and only other) member of everythingamazing.net (which is still looking for a better name). Edit: A better name has been found: illuminatingletters.com Edit 2: Now confusinglygood.com
