Rightstuf.com - Geneon Remix Sale
Rightstuf.com is having a sale of some overstock Geneon titles - 10 for $50 or 25 for $100. This is similar to a sale they had a few months back, but it's still a decent sale, and if I had $50-$100 I'd be all over this.
Use code remix10 (10 for $50) or remix25 (25 for $100) at checkout.
Check after the break for some notable titles, or simply hit the source to start browsing.

DeepDiscount.com 20% Off Sale
Although the semi-annual 20% off sale is scheduled for June 1-June 17th, they started it a bit early for the fine folks at the dvdtalk forums (and anyone else using the promo code). Head on over to deepdiscount.com to add more dvd's, hd-dvd's or blu-ray discs to your collection, and then use the promo code "dvdtalk" for 20% off. Check after the break for some HD-DVD's which might be a good buy, and then leave some comments about what you picked up! I myself have no money, so expect no comments from me :)
Superman Returns Ultimate Edition $30 @ FYE.com
Superman Ultimate Edition is $31.21 at FYE.com, and can be had even cheaper with the coupon WELCOMEMPTEN for new members (may work with existing members as well?)
Mine was $30.xx after tax w/free shipping. 14 discs of Superman goodness can not be passed up at this price; it lists for about $100 and is normally sold for around $70.

The List 3/4 - 3/10
Okay so I'm on hiatus, but I thought I'd post this real quick cause there are some good deals this week (mostly on cheapo DVD's, but still). so a short break from the short break.
Also, I may just quit writing these up all together. Speedy (at cheapassgamer) does this each week, and should not only get all the credit, but simply does a good job. My intent was to pick out what I thought were the must haves of the lists, but maybe that's not necessary? I may just have weekly links to Speedy's lists. Let me know if any of you like my write-ups, or if they are just a nuisance. Otherwise, click through to get to rest of the article (and leave some comments!)

Anime On the Cheap At RightStuf.com
Rightstuf.com, the international anime superstore, is having a pretty sweet deal on ADV anime right now. The sale is any 10 for $50 or 25 for $100. Most anime collectors know that a single disc of anime can easily run $25, so to get 10 discs for $50 is a pretty good deal. The only title I found of note was Evangelion Platinum; each disc would normally be about $27 (at rightstuf, anyway), but with this you can grab most of theml and then a few different titles for $50. Bestbuy i believe has Evangelion for $6.99 a disc, but even at that rate you pay more than $50 for the series. Click the source to find the complete list, and maybe post some comments about titles you think are worth picking up.
[DEAD] Best DVD Deal of 2007?
Best Buy is having an UNADVERTISED sale this week (hopefully all week) in celebration of the Oscars! We found out Sunday night, at which point it was too late to post (if it turned out to be a one day event), but it seems that it is an event for the week, so get ready to get your MIND BLOWN. Okay so it's not that incredible but it is definitely note worthy.
It seems last weeks special edition dvd's, which were previously buy one get one free, are now $9.99... but still buy 1 get 1. That means an average of $5 a movie, most of which pull $20 easy. Click the permalink to read the full list.
[UPDATE 1]: Forgot to mention that you can snag a 300 promo disc w/movie cash for FREE with any DVD purchase. Many have reported being able to get one for one with the dvd's in the B1G1F. It's in the ad and can be seen here.
[UPDATE 2]: Looks like the B1G1 deal is dead as of Wednsday; hope everyone was able to get in on this.

Stranger Than Fiction
#Movie Review, #DVD, #Stranger Than Fiction, #Will Ferrell, #Dustin Hoffman, #Maggie Gyllenhaal, #Queen Latifah, #Emma Thompson
Stranger Than Fiction is a movie of interesting premise: Harold Crick (Will Ferrell) is an average man leading an average life as an IRS tax collector- until he one day hears this average life being narrated, as he puts it, "accurately... and with a better vocabulary." As Ferrell soon discovers, he is the character in a novel being written; the author, Kay Eiffel (Emma Thompson), has already decided that Crick will die, but how, and when, is still a mystery to all. A minor case of writers block for Eiffel, but a major life change for Crick. The premise is interesting, and I've always found Ferrell funny. So funny premise plus funny actor equals funny movie, right? (story continues after break)
For You Bargain Hunters...
#Bargains, #Video Games, #Sale, #Cheap, #Cheapassgamer, #Destructiod, #Bargain Bin Laden, #DVDTalk, #Fatwallet
When this site was originally conceived, it was a personal blog. But after conception, there was some minor surgery and what we have now was born: a site which tries to collect as many interesting and helpful things as it can for people to read about. One of the topics that I post about most is bargains on movies and game; I simply think I know bargains, and am amazed when I see people spend too much money (and not care, no less). I know a girl that saw Ice Age 2 for $16.99 and said it was a "good deal". I'm sorry, but that's a terrible deal.
So I thought now might be a good time to let you all in on the secret: I read a lot of forums and blogs. I know not everyone has the time for this, nor the want, so that's where I try to pick up the slack and collect all I can. But a lot of stuff falls through the cracks, or is simply too-short-lived to be posted, because by the time anyone read it, the deal would be dead. My recent post about a Babel BD comes to mind; I believe it was most likely dead when I wrote the article, but the disc was still $0 and still available for purchase. I guess I'll see later this week if it comes.
But for those of you with as much time as me, you might be interested in knowing where to find these deals. Click through the break to read alll about 'em.
