Okay back at it! Sorry again for delays; Sunday really sneaks up on you when you've got a job to be at on the weekend.

As some may have noticed, I've added some Amazon referrals. To the right is a short, random list of games and movies due out this week (with a link for the complete list as well). Although these may not be the best prices you can get, Amazon is typically pretty balanced, and by buying through the links here you help support this site, which is coded and designed by one person, d3vkit, with articles by only two other people, knit_vicious and w00t. This week has a lot of movies hitting DVD that I'm pretty excited about, so I thought I'd share.

Hollywoodland
Starring Adrien Brody (The Pianist), Diane Lane (A Walk on the Moon), Ben Affleck (Daredevil, heh), and Bob Hoskins (Super Mario Bros, double heh), this is the film-noir look at the true story of the supposed suicide of George Reeves (star of TV's Adventures of Superman). But rumors of a homicide are being spread around, with anyone's guess as to who killed the Man of Steel.

Flags of our Fathers
From Director/Producer Clint Eastwood (Million Dollar Baby) and co-producer Steven Spielberg (Schindler's List) comes the story of the battle of Iwo Jima, the turning point of World War II.

The Science of Sleep
Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) returns to the director's chair to bring us yet another surreal and dream-like experience.

I've been looking forward to Sleep since last fall. I REALLY enjoyed Eternal Sunshine, and if you haven't seen it yet, you owe it to yourself. It's an amazing work of art, and Jim Carrey really stretches our expectations (before falling right back into typical comedy with Fun With Dick and Jane).

Maybe this weekend I can actually watch these and get some reviews going or something.

Welcome to another edition of The List! For all one of you reading, I'm sorry I don't write these up sooner; I totally could but I've been trying hard to get the site in a state where I can show other people. But there is something YOU can do, and it's quite easy, to get the list as early as possible: head over to the dvdtalk forums and check out the posts by speedy1961 each week; he posts all three circular ads, usually two weeks in advance. So don't call me lazy; you have the power!
Alright onto The List for this week.

Each retailer is supposedly getting Wii's in this Sunday, so if you've been looking for one, now might be your chance. Another good reference is WiiSeeker (www.ps3seeker.com/Wii)(It's worth it, btw).

Verbatim 20 Pack DVD+R Double Layer Discs : $29.99 - I haven't been up on dvd recordable media in a while, but this seems really good for DVDR9's, and Verbatim no less. It's still about $2 a disc, but it's still better than I usually see. I'm just waiting for $1.00 to .50 cents a disc before I even consider DVD9's.

A poster at my favorite forum, dvdtalk, has posted a thread about a Wal-Mart online sale of tv-on-dvd. There are quite a few different sets here at the obligatory $20 mark that most tv-on-dvd seems to hit and then stop at. Some items that caught my eye were The Outer Limits, The X-Files, Angel, Arrested Development, and Lost in Space. Even with DeepDiscounts 20% off sale you can't beat these prices.

For the next two days (the 9th and 10th of January), select email address' receive an additional 10% off their order. Not sure if it's actually select ones, or if that's just what BB is saying. At any rate, I'm going to jump on The Jerk and Requiem for a Dream since they are part of the $5.99 dvd deal. With ship to store (+tax), my grand total is $11.56.

Some other titles that might be a good bet with this code are the 2 for $20 dvd's (see this weeks The List). A few notables include Reservoir Dogs 15th anniversary edition, Hard Candy, Brick, and United 93. This essentially means you are getting two of these movies at $10 a piece, which is a good price on these newer and better movies. Also don't forget to add two from the list or the price won't go down.
